The Ministry of Curiosity is dedicated to bringing you the best of London's museum-centric social life.
We believe in the power of the city's vibrant cultural offer, and aim to change current perceptions about those working in museums.
We strive to bring you an insider's perspective into the fun and stylish side of the industry. Think of us as a salon of ideas or a Victorian gentleman's club but without all the patriarchy and opium.
What you'll find here is off-the-cuff thoughts, reviews and musings, plus images and the most up to date information on events and exhibitions. If you are lucky, you may even get a sneak peek into the stores of London's museums where the Ministry's members work.
If you've ever been curious about collections or what goes on behind the scenes you've come to the right place.
Come share your thoughts, musings, comments and pictures with us all for the love of museums, galleries, archives, collecting and style.
The overly serious need not apply.
The Ministry of Curiosity was founded in 2012
as a Twitter-driven blog aiming to provide an irreverent insider’s view into
the world of London’s museums. On a mission to change the way people view
museums one snarky post at a time, the Ministry provides event listings,
opinion pieces, unique series and provoking Twitter debates. Recently the
Ministry of Curiosity has been featured on Guardian Culture Pros, Art Industry
Magazine Online and the Museums Journal. The Ministry is made up of museum
professionals Terri Dendy, Collections Information Officer at the Science Museum, and Kristin Hussey, Assistant Curator at the Hunterian Museum
at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Follow us @curiositytweet.
